Who should cross for this

Full, half, and 10 km runners, wheelchair athletes, and travelers timing a Hong Kong long weekend around race-weekend road closures.

A destination race weekend for Pacific runners who can ballot or package into Hong Kong, collect packs before Sunday, and treat MTR geography as part of race strategy.

Suggested trip length: 3–4 nights for expo pickup plus Sunday race day; arrive by Friday if Saturday events matter

Pay if you got a place—or use the paths still open

The September public ballot is closed. If you entered, the next gates are the 25 September first-round result and the 2 October payment cutoff, then a second round 7–10 October. Hotel packages, charity runner registration, and disability or wheelchair paths still have later deadlines on the same table. A hotel package is not a substitute for reading which distance you actually hold.

Collect the pack before Sunday morning

Official timing puts the Marathon Expo and pack collection at 13–16 January. Plan a Friday or Saturday pickup, not a same-morning scramble from HKG. Collection emails are listed for late December, with reservation in early January.

Saturday Kai Tak is not a Sunday bib

Youth Run on January 16 is on the official calendar. The 5 km Harbourfront Run is in the same weekend’s HKAAA launch materials, with fees still rolling out. Neither replaces a full, half, or 10 km place. Confirm start lines before you move a flight for Saturday.
