One of the world’s largest consumer and trade game shows; the 30th anniversary ran its longest-ever five-day edition—an East Asia travel anchor for players and press crossing the Pacific.

Suggested trip length: 3–4 nights for one or two public days; 4–5 nights if you also want central Tokyo recovery nights after Makuhari crowds

Public tickets are date-specific

One-Day tickets ran about ¥3,000 for junior-high and older, Fast Tickets about ¥6,000 with priority entry and merch, and a Premium three-day pass about ¥30,000 with Energy Spot lounge access. Special Discount tickets were about ¥1,500 for eligible holders. There were no same-day sales at the venue.

Makuhari is the destination

Halls 1–11 plus the International Conference Hall and TKP Tokyo Bay Makuhari Hall formed the footprint. Family Game Park was a free-admission family zone inside the wider show geography. Cosplay registration was a separate paid process. Toshiya Miyata (Kis-My-Ft2) was the official supporter for the anniversary year.

Commute or camp in Chiba

Kaihin-Makuhari hotels suited anyone who hated packed morning trains. Central Tokyo worked if evenings mattered more than door time. Roughly one public day plus a buffer night beat trying to see every booth across three days after a long-haul arrival.
