Confirm your entry path before flights

The official Korean notice outlines record submission, priority entry, Gold Package, and first-come general entry for domestic runners in spring 2026, and expressly says international registration details will follow on official channels. Full-marathon eligibility has historically required a recent sub-five-hour marathon certificate within a stated window—verify the live 2027 rules before assuming you qualify. Never buy or accept a transferred bib.

Plan for two ends of the city

A Gwanghwamun-area hotel helps before a downtown start; Jamsil makes more sense if your priority is an easy finish, baggage reclaim, and a quiet afternoon. Supporters should pick one or two viewing points near subway stations instead of trying to taxi the length of the course. March mornings in Seoul can be cool; pack layers and check the final weather and cancellation policy.

Leave room for packet day

Packet pickup venue and hours for 2027 were not yet clearly published in English at verification. A late Saturday arrival is risky if in-person collection is mandatory and race-day pickup is barred, as is common at major marathons. A four- or five-night stay gives a Pacific traveler buffer for jet lag, expo errands, race day, and one easy recovery day before flying home via ICN or GMP.
