Choose the right day

Public hours are short by art-fair standards: Friday opens at 14:00 and closes at 19:00; Saturday and Sunday run 11:00–19:00; Monday ends at 18:00. Saturday offers a full window—but it also coincides with Taiwan LGBT+ Pride. Friday afternoon or Sunday may feel calmer for looking.

VIP access is invitation- or pass-based through TAGA’s digital VIP system; it is not the same as buying a public ticket. Until the 2026 price list is live—and while the official ticketing page still carries 2025 labeling—budget only for flights and lodging, and recheck the fair site before you travel.

Stay in Xinyi, or connect cleanly

For the shortest commute, stay in Xinyi within walking distance of Hall 1 and Taipei 101. Da’an works well with a Red/Blue Line transfer if you want a quieter gallery-and-dining base. Taipei Main remains practical after a long-haul arrival: Airport MRT in, Red Line out to Taipei 101/World Trade Center.

Use Exit 1 or 5 from Taipei 101/World Trade Center; Exit 5 is the elevator-friendly option. City Hall station is a longer walk and may be crowded if Pride activity concentrates nearby.

Stack thoughtfully with Pride weekend

Taiwan’s Pride march is confirmed for Saturday, October 31—the same day the fair is open to the public. The two events are not linked: Pride is free and route details usually arrive in early October; ART TAIPEI remains a ticketed fair once sales open. Decide whether Saturday is your fair day, your parade day, or a compressed combination with generous transfer time.

Keep the itinerary flexible until TAGA publishes exhibitors and a dated 2026 price page—and book Xinyi lodging earlier than you would for an ordinary October weekend.
