Taiwanese contingents in New York, San Francisco and Toronto connect the Taipei march with Taiwanese American and Canadian LGBTQ+ communities and institutions.

Join without a ticket

Public participants do not need to register or pay admission; arrive at the designated place and join the march. NGOs, schools, friendly businesses, political parties and other organized teams use a separate registration process that usually begins in September. Commercial parties promoted around Pride weekend operate independently and may require tickets. Check who is organizing an event before treating it as part of the official program.

Use last year only as context

In 2025 the parade began and ended at Taipei City Hall Plaza, with a Rainbow Market, stage program and two routes through Xinyi and Da’an. Organizers reported nearly 150,000 participants despite rain. None of those operational details is confirmed for 2026. When the new map appears, check road crossings, accessible facilities, crowd-control advice and the recommended metro stations rather than relying on a saved route.

Choose a base for the whole weekend

Xinyi is the shortest walk if City Hall returns, while Da’an offers convenient East District access. Ximending places travelers near the Red House and longstanding LGBTQ+ gathering spaces; Taipei Main is easiest from TPE. The parade falls on Halloween and overlaps ART TAIPEI, so lodging and late-night transport may be busy. Taiwan-linked Pride contingents in New York, San Francisco and Toronto give the weekend a visible Pacific diaspora connection.
