Ignore older PDFs that still talk about Halls 4–8. That zoning was a prior footprint, and following it will put you in the wrong corridor on opening day. Confirm any themed “park” or special zone on the live map the morning you go—signage inside Makuhari moved.
Base the trip on Chiba door time
Kaihin-Makuhari hotels trade nightlife for reliable 9:30 a.m. arrivals. A three-night stay usually covers two intensive hall days and one buffer for jet lag or a Tokyo-side dinner meeting. Shinjuku looks convenient on a map until you ride the Keiyo Line both ways with a full bag.
Recheck co-located Makuhari programming the week before you fly; badge lines and shuttle signs shift when other shows share the complex.
