Lovina Festival 2026 ran Friday, July 24, through Tuesday, July 28, on Lovina Beach in Buleleng under the theme Theatre of Dolphins. The official site split the coastline into Tasik Madu (tourism-oriented stage, roughly July 24–26) and Binaria Beach (local culture and UMKM market focus, roughly July 26–28), with overlapping days and a published evening lineup of dance, bands, and DJs. This was North Bali’s pitch: black-sand coast, dolphin-country identity, and a five-day festival that wanted you to stay longer than a selfie stop. Future editions will still reward travelers who respect the drive from the south.

Who should cross for this

Bali visitors willing to leave the south, diaspora travelers seeking living culture, and travelers who want North Bali coast time with a festival anchor.

A Kharisma Event Nusantara–linked North Bali showcase that rewards Pacific visitors who treat Lovina as a destination, not a day-trip footnote from Seminyak.

Suggested trip length: 4–5 nights in Lovina for the full festival, or 3 nights if you already hold a south-Bali base and accept long transfers

Two stages, five days

Tasik Madu carried the opening stretch: Nelayan dance mass performance, Barong, Gus Teja, sunset DJ sessions, and beachfront dining energy. Binaria Beach leaned Bondres, local bands, sunset yoga, Sampi Gerumbungan competition context at Kaliasem Field, and about eighty UMKM food and craft vendors in organizer framing.

Morning side programs estimated traditional mini-boat racing and a Lovina Cross Country dawn run. Recheck lovinafestival.com for future hour changes; tropical weather and committee updates can move sets.

Stay on the north coast

Evening headliners made a same-day round trip from Seminyak or Ubud a miserable plan. Sleep in Lovina. Use daylight for coast time or nearby Buleleng stops, then walk or short-hop to the stage. Parking and crowd management as part of the regency’s published preparation—still leave early for popular sets on a return visit.

DPS is not next door

Budget a serious cross-island transfer from the airport. Build the festival as its own Bali chapter: fly in, transfer north, recover, then enjoy three or four nights. Pairing south-club nightlife with north-festival evenings in the same calendar day usually fails. Dolphin sunrise trips remain a separate early-morning product—book only with operators you trust, and do not stack them on a night you stayed out for closing sets.
