Adventure & EnduranceDates confirmedDadaepo Beach, Saha-gu

The 28th Busan Kookje Marathon (제28회 부산국제마라톤) takes place Sunday, November 15, 2026, at Dadaepo Beach in Saha-gu. Kookje Shinmun, a Busan newspaper, hosts the race, and Sportlink, a Korean race-management company, runs it. There is no full marathon this year. The distances are a half marathon, 10K, and 5K. The course runs from Dadaepo Beach toward Jangnim Port and the Nakdong River estuary, according to a secondary race calendar.

Who should cross for this

Registered runners, friends and families spectating in west Busan, and runners planning a mid-November Busan trip next year.

A big local road race that gives Busan visitors a different, coastal mid-November weekend away from the Haeundae crowds and the G-STAR week that follows.

Suggested trip length: 2 nights in west Busan or Seomyeon

Closed, but still a weekend

KorMarathon lists the registration window as July 20 to September 18, and the newspaper’s own coverage said the 10,000 places filled within minutes of opening. For anyone without a bib, the weekend is for spectating and for scouting 2027.

If you want in next year, watch the Kookje Shinmun and Sportlink channels around July.

West Busan morning logistics

Dadaepo is far from Haeundae, so sleeping near the east-coast beaches means a long ride. Seomyeon or Nampo is a better compromise, with Metro Line 1 running directly to the beach.

The race is at the sand’s edge in November, which means cold wind. Bring a warm layer for after the finish, and confirm bag-check rules in the race packet.

Pair it with G-STAR week, if you like

G-STAR 2026 opens at BEXCO three days later, on November 18, so game-industry travelers can run, or cheer, before moving east. Busan Fireworks Festival on November 7 is a week before.

If you are only in town for the race, a slow Sunday afternoon along Dadaepo’s beach after the finish is a gentle reward.
